There is no need for an outline; this book consists primarily of
two principles subjects: genealogies and the life of David. Chapters
1-9 and 23-27 are devoted exclusively to the former. Chapter 10
briefly mentions the life (actually, the death ) of Saul, and the
remaining chapters discuss David. Little of 1 and 2 Samuel are
repeated here; there is more of an emphasis on David's request and
preparations for the building of the temple (22:7-8). Most scholars
consider that Ezra wrote 1 and 2 Chronicles.
10:13-14 "So Saul died for his unfaithfulness..."
12:32 "...men that had understanding of the times, to know what
Israel ought to do..." (KJV).
16:29 "...Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness!"
28:9 A Charge is Given by David to Solomon that Every Son
Should Give his Father.
15-16 Joyous Worship.
13 The Moving of the Ark; Uzza's Death (see also 15:2, 13-15).
21 The Numbering of Israel.
